Our motor insurance policy provides coverage in the event of a loss or accident. Any motor vehicle operating on the road in Barbados is legally required to have insurance coverage.

Reasons to insure your car:

• It is required by law.
• As the insured you have the security of knowing that you are protected when involved in an accident.
• Financial institutions require insurance covering loss and damage to the vehicle in order to secure a loan.

Types of Coverage Offered  For Motor Vehicles:

1. Comprehensive - In the event of an accident or loss, a Comprehensive policy provides you with cover for injury to any other person or damage to their property, as well as damage to your vehicle.
2. Third Party - A Third Party policy covers injury to any other person that you are involved with in an accident, as well as damage to their property. It does not cover loss of or damage to your own vehicle.

Payment Options:

We offer 4 different payment options:

1. Payment in full at inception of policy
2. 5 instalments plan
3. 6 instalments plan
4. 8 instalments plan

For your convenience, payments can be made at our office in Hastings, Christ Church. Also, with our partner Surepay at any of their locations or using Surepay Online.

You can also make an online payment via Trident Insurance's MyPolicy.

General Motor Policy Terms/Features

No Claim Discount (NCD)

On transfer from another insurer, the No Claim Discount (NCD) allowable will depend on the number of claim free insurance years immediately prior to the transfer in accordance with the following scale.

If more than one vehicle is insured, NCD shall apply separately to each vehicle. NCD cannot be transferred from one person to another.
 

RoadRescue

Our RoadRescue service was the first emergency roadside assistance service in Barbados offered by an insurer.  This service is offered free of charge to all private motor insurance policy holders and at a nominal fee to all commercial motor insurance policy holders.
 

Accident Assist

Accident Assist is free to ALL motor policy holders including commercial.  During an accident, our team will handle the emergency services (police, ambulance and fire), photographs and statements as well as initiate the claim process.
 

Motor Claim Reminders

To ensure that your claim is dealt with in a prompt and satisfactory manner, you must notify us immediately after an accident has occurred by contacting our Accident Assist team at 431-2347.
