Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is expected to provide a high level of customer service to direct clients and brokers and underwrite high quality business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To provide quality assistance to our direct customers in person and via telephone.
  • To underwrite good quality business by identifying and clarifying customers insurance needs and preparation of quotations for both personal and commercial lines.

 

Qualification and Skills:

  • Ideally a first degree from a recognised university.
  • Successful completion of the Insurance Institute of Barbados’ Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or other approved Insurance qualification is desirable.
  • Previous experience of working in a Customer Service business environment.
  • Excellent follow-up and closing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, including Excel and/or other insurance software packages.
